Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to NY Info Publishing (referred to below as "we", "us" or "NY Info") in respect of the website at ninayagual.com. It applies to any personal information you provide to us, or that we collect automatically as you use the site, in Australia or elsewhere.
What we collect
We collect very little. When you visit a page on this site, our web server logs the request in the ordinary way that all web servers do — the request URL, the timestamp, the IP address at the network level, the browser user agent string and the referring URL if your browser sends one. When you send us an email, we retain that email in a mail archive.
We do not run a comments section, a login system, a newsletter or a merchant checkout. We do not run any customer-relationship management system. We do not track visitors across sites. We do not use third-party advertising cookies at present, though we may reintroduce a self-hosted analytics tool in future; this policy will be updated if we do.
Why we collect it
Server logs exist to detect abuse, debug technical issues and produce aggregate readership counts for internal editorial planning. Email correspondence is retained so we can reply to enquiries and, where relevant, honour correction requests.
How long we keep it
Server logs are retained for 90 days, after which they are purged. Email correspondence is retained for two years unless the subject of the correspondence requires longer retention (for example, an unresolved complaint file). Aggregate counts derived from server logs may be retained beyond the raw log window, but they contain no personal information.
Who we share it with
Nobody in the ordinary case. We use a commercial web hosting provider whose privacy terms apply to the server logs that provider generates for us; we do not share server logs beyond that provider. We use an ordinary email provider for staff mail; we do not share your correspondence beyond that provider. We do not sell personal information, and we do not exchange it with marketing partners.
We will disclose personal information if required by law — for example, in response to a validly issued subpoena or a request from a law enforcement agency operating under lawful authority — and we will inform you of any such disclosure to the extent we are permitted to.
How we protect it
Our servers use current transport encryption. Email is stored on a mainstream commercial provider with the usual layered security controls. Access to internal systems is limited to editorial staff and is protected by strong passwords and second-factor authentication. We do not store credit-card information or other high-sensitivity financial details, because we do not have any product or service that requires them.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you have the right to request access to any personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate and to make a complaint if you believe we have handled it improperly. Access requests should be made in writing to [email protected], addressed to the editor.
We will respond to a valid access request within 30 days. Complaints that we cannot resolve directly may be referred to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

This site sets no third-party tracking cookies at present. It may set essential cookies related to page display preferences; these are described in more detail on our cookie policy page. If we introduce analytics or advertising cookies in future, this policy will be updated in advance.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page indicates the last update. Material changes will be noted in a change log we maintain internally and, where a change materially affects visitors, described on this page for at least 30 days.
